Curved Shish Kabob Skewers
There are SO many really nifty BBQ accessories out there. These Curved Shish Kabob Skewers definitely fit into that category… don’t you think?
If you have or know someone who uses a smaller (round) charcoal grill, these skewers would be perfect for them.
If you take the time to read the reviews, on this product, you will see that they work well with the ever popular ‘Weber Q’ model. It can actually accommodate eight skewers at a time.
If you host a lot of summertime get-togethers, these are a must! As you can see by the picture, these particular curved shish kabob skewers, look quite festive on a plate. Pretty classy, indeed!
They measure eight inches in diameter, meaning they can hold a large quantity of meats, seafood and veggies. Shish kabobs are a fun food because you can get so creative with them. You can even incorporate you favorite fruit, if the spirit moves you. I don’t know about you but I’m getting hungry just thinking about it.
They are available in sets of four. Their non-stick feature makes cleanup a breeze.

Coleman Road Trip Grill
The Coleman Road Trip Grill gets excellent reviews. If you are in search of a portable gas grill, believe me when I tell you that it is well worth your consideration. It can even be used as a smoker. How cool is that?
This grill features 24,000 BTUs of cooking power. The Coleman Road Trip is anything but wimpy. It has a huge (well almost) 345 square inch cooking surface, great for neighborhood BBQ’s. The surface is porcelain coated, making clean up a breeze.
It also features 2 completely adjustable burners, an InstaStart matchless lighting system, movable heat tents, a stainless steel hood for durability, self storing side tables and cart, tool holders, removable grease tray and three year warranty.
The grill is very easy to transport and sets up quickly. There are several optional accessories available, as well. These include: a wheeled carry case, a grill cover and a full size aluminum griddle. The Road Trip Grill runs on either a 16.4 ounce propane cylinder or 20 pound tank.
The Coleman Company has been manufacturing dependable products since 1900. They invented the fold-up camp stove and are responsible for the high tech coolers, of today.

Homemade Meatballs the Easy Way
The Williams Sonoma Meatball Grill Basket is one of the coolest pieces of grilling related cookware I’ve run across. It gives new meaning to homemade meatballs the easy way, doesn’t it?
I love meatballs, but have never given much thought to cooking them on the grill. Think of how much yummier they would be packed with flame broiled flavor.
(I typically cheat and buy pre-made meatballs from Gordon’s Food Service. But, I think this product would give me incentive to make my own, at least during the summer months.)
This grill basket accommodates one dozen meatballs at a time. Obviously, you could mix up any ground meat recipe you happened to be in the mood for. Lamb, veal, beef, poultry or sausage would all be fair game.
It features perforated wells, which enable the fat to cook out of the meatballs without dripping into your BBQ. The removable handle makes the grill basket easy to turn. Just flip it over and you’re good to go. Homemade meatballs have never been so much fun to make!
Another great grilling accessory worth your consideration is the Lodge Logic Pre-Seasoned Round Cast Iron Grill Press. I invite you to take a minute to read what I have to say about it.

Smokeless Indoor Electric Grill by Sanyo
Every season is grill season with the Sanyo 17×12 Nonstick Smokeless Indoor Electric Grill. The reviews on this product speak for themselves. Although it’s not an outdoor grill, it certainly seems to be the next best thing.
This particular model packs 1300 watts of power and has a 200 square inch cooking surface. Smoke-free cooking is made possible because of the removable drip pan, which can be easily cleaned in the dishwasher. This also means healthier cooking.
Those who have purchased the grill suggest adding a bit of water to the drip pan and spraying the grill grate with nonstick cooking spray, before using.
If you love freshly grilled vegetables, the grate is small enough to allow you to prepare smaller veggies without them falling through… or worse yet getting stuck in between.
Another great feature that you might not expect, on an indoor electric grill this affordable, is an adjustable temperature control. Honestly, I’m more than a little impressed!
If you have never done much indoor grilling, there’s no better time to start than now. It’s a very healthy way to prepare meals and you’ll never run out of new recipes to try.
If you prefer an outdoor grill, please consider reading my review about this nifty portable gas grill, as well.

Portable Gas Grills
If you live in a condo, have a smallish backyard or do a great deal of camping, you may be a candidate for one of the many nifty little portable gas grills, available today. The thought just occurred to me that it would work wonders at your next tailgate party, too.
There is absolutely nothing to stop you from enjoying tasty BBQ, whenever the spirit hits you. (If you are anything like my hubby, that spirit can hit quite often. Am I right?)
The Outdoor Chef City Grill with Cradle (pictured here) is a perfect example of the type of portable gas grills I’m referring to. It gets great reviews and has often been purchased as a replacement for bulkier units.
One of this portable BBQ’s most unique features is the Flip Funnel design. This design helps to prevent dangerous flare ups and reduces the amount of smoke, usually associated with grilling. (Your neighbors will be absolutely thrilled.)
The City Grill will also bake a whole turkey, just like a convection oven. No need to manually turn it, just flip the funnel upside down. Pretty groovy!
While I’m on the subject of portable gas grills, I invite you to take a minute to read my posts about hot wing BBQ sauce and an ice cream maker your kids will adore!

Pie Irons
Memorial Day is a distant memory. The camping season is upon us. That means there is no better time to invest in a Pie Iron… or two. Honestly, they are appreciated by kids of ALL ages, myself included.
Pie Irons are available in both round and square varieties. Besides pie making, the square ones are great for sandwiches, pizza rolls and fish sticks, while the round ones work well for things like burgers and pita bread creations.
With a little practice, you can even bake things like refrigerator biscuits and cinnamon rolls. The Pillsbury doughboy will be proud!
There is no set in stone rule that you have to wait to actually GO camping to use a pie iron. If you are one of countless families that have a fire pit, in the back yard, you are definitely good to go.
‘Fire pies’ have become so popular that you can even purchase accessories to go along with your pie iron. Consider picking up a cookbook and/or carrying case, as well.
Do you have a yummy recipe that you’ve adapted for a pie iron? If so, feel free to share it with the rest of us. Especially if it happens to be dessert oriented.
Weber Smokey Mountain Cooker Smoker
My husband has been actively hinting around that he’s wanted a smoker, for almost as long as I’ve known him. So, I’m sitting here trying to decide if I should make it happen.
Since I am envisioning the Weber Smokey Mountain Cooker Smoker, in my driveway… I guess that means I’m leaning toward yes. (Shhhh… don’t tell.)
Let’s face it; almost everyone is familiar with the Weber brand, right? This smoker is definitely looking like it will ‘kick up’ your BBQ several notches. It is large enough to smoke a turkey AND a ham at the same time.
It features a water pan that provides plenty of steam during the smoking process. This will ensure that your meat (regardless of the cut) will turn out moist and juicy every time.
Reviews on this smoker are rosy. Although it may seem a tad expensive at first, it comes with a 10 year warranty.
Personally, I look at it this way. Why spend less money for a lower quality smoker that will probably have to be replaced in a couple of years? As the old saying goes… ‘you get what you pay for’.
If you have been thinking about buying a smoker, this one just might be the one you are looking for. What do you think?

George Forman Electric Grill
The George Forman Indoor/Outdoor Electric Grill will really come in handy for those who live in apartments or condos, don’t you think? It will also work well for barbeque junkie’s living in cold (winter) climates. In no way does grilling have to be a summertime only activity.
This 1600-watt electric grill features a 200 inch grilling surface. It can be used on its stand or removed and placed on a flat surface such as a tabletop, countertop or even the ground (should the spirit move you).
The unit has a nonstick coating, making it very easy to clean. Its unique center channel allows fat to drain away effortlessly, into a handy grease receptacle. Honestly, grilling has never been healthier.
If you take the time to read various reviews, you will see that this grill comes quite highly recommended. It heats evenly and doesn’t take up a lot of space.
Those who have used a small countertop George Foreman should consider this model as an upgrade, of sorts. Especially, if they tend to cook for larger crowds.
Let’s face it; there are so many yummy barbecue recipes to be had. There’s really no better time to start trying some of them.
Do you have a George Forman grill you can’t live without? Feel free to share your favorite recipe.

Lodge Logic Pre-Seasoned Round Cast Iron Grill Press
I have never used a grill press. However, I am more than a little bit confident that it would work SO much better than the spatula I’m using, in its place. After reading the reviews, I’ve added the Lodge Logic Pre-Seasoned Round Cast Iron Grill Press to my ‘wish list’.
I’ve written about other Lodge Logic products, in the past. They are a very reputable company, manufacturing a wide range of must have kitchen items. This grill press is no exception.
Since it’s pre-seasoned, you can use it right out of the box with no problems whatsoever… a great feature if you are giving it as a gift.
Not only does it work perfectly when cooking meats like steak, chops, ham, bacon and burgers (extracting unwanted fats and keeping everything flat) it also works great for Panini’s and other grilled sandwiches.
This press has a cool grip handle that eliminates the need to grab a pot holder, when using it.
Lodge Logic recommends that their grill press be cleaned with hot water and a stiff brush. This method will produce the best results.
I don’t know about you, but I LOVE purchasing products that carry a lifetime warranty, as this one does. It really makes them stand out in the crowd, don’t you think?

Bacon Explosion
Ok I admit it; I am more than a little envious of the creators of the now famous Bacon Explosion recipe that is currently causing an Internet media frenzy.
BBQ buddies, Aaron Chronister and Jason Day, came up with this recipe as a result of a challenge they received on their BBQ Addict website.
The Bacon Explosion calls for just four ingredients… bacon, Italian sausage, BBQ sauce and BBQ rub. (They suggest that you use your favorite brands.)
In a nutshell, two pounds of sausage is patted onto bacon that has been ‘woven’ into a basket weave pattern and generously sprinkled with rub.
Cooked bacon goes on top of the sausage and then everything is rolled up in jelly roll fashion. The whole thing is then encased in another “bacon weave’, sprinkled with more rub and coated with BBQ sauce.
This yummy creation is then smoked in the smoker of your choice, for roughly 2.5 hours. Aaron and Jason suggest you serve slices of their Bacon Explosion between two halves of a large biscuit. In this case… a little goes a long way.
Rumor has it that these two inventive guys, from Kansas City, have already been offered a cookbook deal.
All the frenzy just goes to so you what can happen when you combine a unique recipe with the power of the Internet!
