Crystal Light Drink Mix on the Go
As a writer, I don’t get a lot of exercise. As a result, I’ve needed to lose a few pounds, for what seems like forever, but have always had difficulty doing so. I’ll be the first to admit that part of my problem is that I drink too much soda and not enough water. SO, here is my plan…
I’m going to limit myself to one SMALL glass of cola, per day, replacing it with Crystal Light Drink Mix on the Go. Honestly, I really think I could learn to love the stuff… especially at less than 15 calories, per 20 ounce (bottle of water) serving.
Crystal Light on the Go comes in a wide variety of tempting flavors. They include: Cherry Pomegranate, Fruit Punch, White Tea Blueberry, Orange Sunrise, Pink Lemonade, Green Tea Honey, Raspberry Ice and many more.
These On the Go Sticks are more than convenient. Easy to take to work or even on vacation. Just add one stick to a 20 bottle of water and shake to dissolve. That’s all there is to it!
Crystal Light drink mix products are sugar free, low calorie, Kosher certified and contain no carbs, whatsoever. I’m hoping it will be the first step to a healthier me!

Better Bowls
Today is the first time I’ve heard of Better Bowls and I can’t wait to try them. I’ve always been a fan of both gelatin and pudding, so this product is certainly up my alley… especially since it’s supposed to be a healthier version.
Better Bowls are available in several flavors including: vanilla pudding, chocolate pudding, strawberry gelatin and orange gelatin. You have the choice of a regular or sugar free version.
They are heart healthy, high in fiber and very easy to prepare. These dessert bowls are typically available in 10 packs.
You could very easily take these to work or anywhere you have access to a microwave. I’m sure that these Better Bowls would be yummy topped with whipped cream, sliced fruit or both. Live a little! Personally, I prefer my gelatin MIXED with whipped cream.
If you are trying to lose weight, struggling with a health issue like diabetes or just want to improve your overall health, portion controlled desserts can be a big help.
Have you had the opportunity to try Better Bowls? If so, I’d love to know what you think of them and what flavor you are the craziest about.
They are definitely on my ‘gotta try’ list. How about you?

Lodge Logic Pre-Seasoned Round Cast Iron Grill Press
I have never used a grill press. However, I am more than a little bit confident that it would work SO much better than the spatula I’m using, in its place. After reading the reviews, I’ve added the Lodge Logic Pre-Seasoned Round Cast Iron Grill Press to my ‘wish list’.
I’ve written about other Lodge Logic products, in the past. They are a very reputable company, manufacturing a wide range of must have kitchen items. This grill press is no exception.
Since it’s pre-seasoned, you can use it right out of the box with no problems whatsoever… a great feature if you are giving it as a gift.
Not only does it work perfectly when cooking meats like steak, chops, ham, bacon and burgers (extracting unwanted fats and keeping everything flat) it also works great for Panini’s and other grilled sandwiches.
This press has a cool grip handle that eliminates the need to grab a pot holder, when using it.
Lodge Logic recommends that their grill press be cleaned with hot water and a stiff brush. This method will produce the best results.
I don’t know about you, but I LOVE purchasing products that carry a lifetime warranty, as this one does. It really makes them stand out in the crowd, don’t you think?

Sunpentown Automatic Soymilk Maker
Soy milk lovers, rejoice! Have I got the kitchen wonder for you. It’s the Sunpentown Automatic Soymilk Maker and it’s pretty nifty, indeed.
It makes milk in less than 18 minutes, from start to finish. The machine accomplishes the job, using just two ingredients… soybeans and water. It heats the water to the proper temperature, grinds the beans and then finally cooks the milk. You can’t get soymilk any fresher than that!
(You have the option of using either dry or soaked beans, although soaking isn’t really a necessity.)
If you take the time to read the reviews on this particular soymilk maker you will see that it passes the test, with flying colors. It’s very simple to whip up a fresh batch, every day.
The price is great, too. I expected to see a small appliance such as this going for much more. When you take into consideration cost of a single half gallon of soymilk, the money you’ll save will really add up.
If you have one of these machines, in your kitchen, please tell us what you think. I’m seriously thinking about getting one, myself. There’s no better time to start thinking about eating (and drinking) healthier than the New Year.
