Closet Case
I moved to new apartment in June and my closet still hasn’t been organized. I still have shoes and bags in boxes and haven’t quite figured out the best way to utilize the space. This leads to a much larger dilemma than the huge mess of clothes constantly strewn about, namely, I keep having the age-old crisis of closet-full-of-clothes-but-nothing-to-wear. Recently while at the nail salon I saw a woman carrying a copy of a book titled Shop Your Closet by Melanie Charlton Fascitelli and was intrigued but too busy with my copy of Interview to inquire what it was about. However, while catching up with the fashion news on Elle.com’s blog, there was a post about a party held by Elle at the Ports 1961 store in Los Angeles honoring the author. Apparently the book covers how to organize your closet and create space by reworking it logistically, store your clothes properly so that they last longer, clean out your wardrobe and get rid of stuff you don’t need as well tips on packing and much more. All so that you can “shop” your clean, organized and beautiful closet each day. I’m sold.
