Phoebe Philo Presents Celine Resort 2010 Collection

Things have been so hectic for me at work that I have barely had time to digest all of the Resort 2010 (oh wow, sounds so futuristic) collections that are being presented. Today, however, I made sure to take time to stop and smell the sartorial roses. Phoebe Philo presented her debut Celine collection in a bare loft space in Chelsea… and all the fashion world (who have been in desperate need of some good news) rejoiced. Philo left ChloĆ©- where she had amassed a cult following obsessed with her girlie, effortless aesthetic and wedge platforms- after her spring 2006 collection to focus on her family. The fashion world has been missing her ever since- and waiting with baited breath for her first Celine collection ever since it was announced she would be replacing Ivana Omazic at the helm. The collection was a little more sophisticated that what fans fell in love with at ChloĆ©, but still unmistakably Philo. It will no doubt be a huge hit, and I can’t wait to see what she presents for her first full size collection in October.

This collection has me seriously pondering the lack of tailored ankle-length trousers in my wardrobe. I mean, how spot-on do they look both in bright blue and in black? This pair from INC International Concepts has a great, slim cut, and they won’t break the bank…
