Sleeping In Organic Cotton

40916877_640.jpgDuring their first year, babies spend up to 70% of their time sleeping. With so much time snoozing, it makes sense to surround your baby with the healthiest environment possible. As said before, synthetic fibers, such as polyester (a petrochemical product), acetate, or rayon, do not breathe well and can make your baby feel smothered and restless. Restless nights make for an unhappy baby and a very very unhappy you.

For your baby’s general health and well being and your sanity, consider organic bedding and swaddling blankets. Super-soft sheets made of 100% organic cotton jersey with no pesticides or chemicals used during the entire process. Only the best for something that will be so close to your baby’s skin.

Kiddopotamus has some great options. I’m a big fan of their Organic Swaddle Set (pictured here). The Kiddopotamus swaddle sets are the latest edition to their popular SwaddleMe Collection. The set comes with 1 blanket, 1 cap, and 1 booklet on how to swaddle.

If you’re in the market for crib linens, try Under the Nile’s various options. Their fitted crib sheet is quite popular and comes in a range of soft colors, all made from metal-free or vegetable dyes.
