Samsung SGH-U700
The Samsung SGH-U700 is an amazingly slim 12.1 millimeter in width, but it is a fully functional 3G HSDPA mobile phone, and a darn good looking one at that.
Not only does it looks shiny and skinny, but it packs a decent power punch with up to 5 hours of talk time or 270 hours of standby time. Not too shabby for such a light weight. (light weight, get it? -lol- no really, it only weighs 86 grams)
It’s also got a built in picture editor to go along with it’s 3.5 megapixel camera with 4x digital zoom and video capture & VGA. You’ll find a full html internet browser, an organizer and mp3 player among the features as well. Don’t worry there’s plenty of room in the 20MB built in memory, plus there’s a card slot for expandability.
Of course, no cell phone is perfect. Even with it’s slim styling, shiny look, and light weight portability this phone has a few flaws mentioned by users. The biggest complaint heard about this phone is that the buttons are too sensitive, which leads to the occasional misdial or having to start over more often than you might like.

Making the Most of Your iPhone
If you’re an iPhone user, you might feel like you have it all at this point. And why wouldn’t you? With a phone, Internet access, games, music, and a built-in digital camera all in one sexy little package. There are few little things you can do to make your iPhone work even harder for you.
Get more in less space – setting the font to the smallest size lets you read more of a story or email in the screen. This makes checking email a faster process. But if you find it hard to see, just increase the font size for more comfortable reading. What’s great is that you can adjust the font to your personal preferences.
Add to spell check – To make you look good, iPhone flags a word that it thinks is misspelled. Sometimes it’s a business related word or just a slang word, but it’s not an error. To “teach” your iPhone a new word, press 3 times to cancel the correction and the word will become part of your iPhone dictionary!
Take a closer look – The iPhone has a magnifying glass that lets you zoom in on a section of words. Tapping and holding brings up the magnifying glass. Focusing on the area you’re editing makes it easier to focus on this smaller screen.
Bring on the videos – The iPhone offers the option to watch videos but they have to be in the right format. YouTube is cozy with Apple, so the videos posted work well on the iPhone.
Get a designer theme – After spending all that money on an iPhone, you certainly don’t want yours to have the same theme as someone else has. Why not download free iPhone themes directly into the phone? Download the “Hack Toolkit” to get into the iPhone and change themes. Several Internet sites offer these themes.
I’m sure there are loads of little shortcuts and techniques out there to make your iPhone work harder, faster, and better. What are some of the little things you’ve found while playing around with your iPhone?

A More Comfortable Gaming Seat
Created by award winning designer, Jukka Setala this “beanbag chair” adds a playful sense of whimsy and comfort to any interior, and gives you video game or relaxing time a little bit more zing.
While it might not have the built in speakers and headphone jacks that true video gamer chairs have, this comfy floor cushion will keep you from getting “gamer butt” and look good sitting in your living room at the same time. Who wants one of those ugly video game rockers sitting in the middle of the floor when guests come over to visit? I know I sure don’t.
With a piece like this for game time you don’t have to hide the evidence later. A brilliant solution to help keep you off the floor and comfortable without taking away from your decor. A huge plus if you’re like me and don’t have a separate family room or game room. Of course, it’s great for just hanging out, watching television, or listening to some music as well.

Is It a Sign of the Technology Age?
I’ve noticed that more and more we’ve become dependable on our cell phones and digital technology. But, are you really getting all the best uses out of your gadgets?
Here’s some photos to help your mind think of things to do with your phone … oh say next time you’re at a concert or a political extravaganza.
Cellphones are great for concert encores. No burnt fingers from your lighter!

Maybe speaking even more to a sign of the times is this image of our new president and his wife… and hundreds of people holding up their phones and digital cameras to snap a picture at the Youth Ball on Inauguration Day.
Photo seen at Gizmodo

It may seem odd to see this happening from this angle, but I think this is a really good thing for history in general. Think about all the documentation we will have for History to share with future generations compared to the History of the past where a lot of what we’ve learned is just passed down by word of mouth with little photographic documentation at all, if any.
Some may say that we over document things in our lives these days. It’s easy to think that way with cameras built into everything these days from your keychain to your cell phone & your Nintendo DS. Just about everyone has a camera in their pocket these days. It’s easy to snap of pic of even the silliest things.
Ever sat down to dinner at a restaurant and snapped a pic of the food in front of you? Many bloggers and lifecasters do just that on an almost daily basis. While it might seem silly at first, it’s definitely shaping the way of the future and making a record of how we live our lives in the now. Not to mention providing funny and interesting blog content across the web.

HP LaserJet 1018
The HP LaserJet 1018 is a compact, inexpensive, alternative to more expensive laser printers. It’s small size and low price tag make it perfect for the small office, home business or even just for every day family use.
The HP 1018 costs around $129, making it comparable in cost to some high end inkjets. If you’ve been looking for high quality b&w printing, then the HP 1018 might be a good solution for you without breaking the bank.
Just because the price tag and size are small, doesn’t mean this printer can’t stand up there with the big boys. This little printer is quite fast and can print up to 12 pages per minute in clear, quality black and white print. The cost of the new print cartridges is sort of scary at first, they run around $70. However, these cartridges last longer than most that you might be used to. I’m finding one or two cartridges lasting longer than a 6 pack of cartridges would have with my old printer.
Another option to keep this printer even more affordable and budget friendly is to shop around for recycled cartridges. A lot of times you can pick these up for way less than the typical new cartridge. It’s just a matter of finding the right provider to get cartridges for your printer model.
